Common side effects observed while medicating with indomethacin are diarrhea, heartburn, headache, dizziness and drowsiness etc. Inform your doctor if these conditions persist or get worse. There are some serious side effects which must be informed to the doctor right away like mental/mood changes, hearing changes, symptoms of heart failure, unexplained stiff neck, severe stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, persistent nausea/vomiting/loss of appetite etc. There are also some rare allergic side effects which require immediate medical attention if observed like severe dizziness, trouble breathing, rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat).
